Central American Missions

Because of health and financial issues, we have not pursued an organized work trip to Honduras this summer as originally planned. We have encouraged the local congregation to sponsor an orphan at the Por Los Ninos Village in Catacamas, Honduras. I encourage others to check out this worthwhile project. In the months ahead, I intend to research and write about other Central American ministries. Depending on health and finances, I may consider leading a team to Honduras in 2007.

A Journey Begins

In the 1990's, I had the privilege to go with two different teams to Honduras to work and serve the most needy of that country for 10 days. It is my intention to assemble a team and return there the summer of 2006. I have four people besides myself who have indicated a desire to go. We would like to have a team of 8-10 people. Each team member will need to raise $1500. This will be done through work projects, personal investments, and gifts from others. We will be doing a project for Por Los Ninos orphanage. All money raised will be tax deductable. More information will be posted later. Plans, progress, and photos will be posted as this journey unfolds.
